Some time ago, we wrote about the collaboration between the leading computing company Intel and fashion-forward brand Opening Ceremony in devising a smart wearable accessory that actually looks the part. Back then it was still under wraps, but now it is available to buy from both Barneys and Opening Ceremony. The smart bracelet is called the MICA – or My Intelligent Communications Accessory – and retails at €495. According to the driving forces behind, the accessory celebrates what can happen when beauty meets intelligence. It’s meticulously designed for the stylish, connected woman and crafted from premium finishes, 18K gold coating and a curved sapphire glass touchscreen display. Engineered with Intel technology, allowing you to easily view messages, your calendar, and alerts from your curated VIP contacts. MICA is connected by AT&T’s mobile broadband network and includes two years of wireless service with the device purchase. Opening Ceremony and Intel even designed an optional charging bowl that lets you conveniently charge your MICA in style without any cords.
