UNSEEN PHOTO FAIR 2014

Unseen is the yearly international fair for new photography. It’s the ideal moment for renown galleries from all over the world to present the latest by their photographers. New for 2014 is the introduction of premières: there will be works which have never been shown, neither off line or on line. The third edition of Unseen Photo Fair takes place at Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam on 18 – 21 September.
Unseen Photo Fair distinguishes itself by focusing on work that has never been shown before. Both projects by young talent as unseen work by famous photographers are part of the fair. Unseen brings together important developments in the world of contemporary photography and makes it accessible to the audience.
The first premières have been announced: renown Finnish gallery Taik Persons will show previously unseen works by Santeri Tuori (1970). The young Dutch galleries Boetzelaer|Nispen and Ton de Boer will introduce talent from the Netherlands: Maurice van Es (1984) and Ruth van Beek (1977). German gallery Grundermark Nilsson Gallery will première works by Swedish photographer JH Engström (1969), coinciding with a solo exhibition in the Amsterdam photography museum Foam. Galerie van der Mieden (BE) will bring work by Düsseldorf artist Martina Sauter (1974).
The selected galleries are exclusively invited to Unseen and new this year are: Galerie Paul Andriesse (NL), Galerie Nicola von Senger (CH), FeldbuschWiesner (DE) and Camilla Grimaldi (GB). There are also new cities represented this year: Bratislava, Slovakia (Krokus Galeria), Budapest, Hungary (acb Gallery), Jakarta, Indonesia (d gallerie), and Modena, Italy (METRONOM).
