Opening Ceremony founders and designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim had many times proved their way to an unforgettable place in a grandiose scale.As prove of that, their unique front row on their very first runaway show, occupied by diverse personalities like Baz Luhrmann, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber among others, in the ongoing New York Fashion Week.

After the show they pointed their references on the car-craziness of the suburban, Southern California youth, where street races in abandoned washes were the entertainment of choice. An homage to Lim’s background plus a loose interpretation of traditional Korean prints and garments.

Street wear and high fashion garments mixed in a fresh an original way, speed and power, OC at its best, as well as their after-parties, popup stores, and everything that they ever touch, reinforcing every time, their contemporary understanding of what a brand should be in the 21st century.
