In celebration of their reopening of it’s 12,000 square foot Beverly Hills Boutique the French fashion house Hermes has created a Basketball for no less than $12,900. -. Only two of these basketballs have been produced in the Paris atelier. Supposedly the Californian cool blue ball in bull calfskin and special hand stitching techniques justifies the price. According to the Hermes U.S. CEO Robert Chaves it represents ‘the sky, the ocean and all the beautiful pools that are a way of the life in L.A. and Southern California’.
