Michel Gondry’s newest film ‘Mood Indigo’ (original title: ‘L’Écume des Jours’) will feature contemporary France’s most popular actors: Audrey Tatou (Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain) and Omar Sy (Intouchables). The film is in Dutch cinemas from 23th May onwards and is based on the book by Boris Vian with the same name.

‘L’Écume des Jours’ tells the surreal and poetic story of the inventive idealist Colin (Romain Duris) whose magical-realist Paris house is filled with crazy inventions and good company thanks to his best friends Nicolas (Omar Sy) and Chick (Gad Elmaleh). The only thing missing is a big love, until he meets Chloé (Audrey Tautou). After a spectacular wedding ceremony, the idyllic marriage is roughly disrupted by the bitter truth when Chloé gets ill due to a waterlily in her lungs. Colin has to work in increasingly more absurd circumstances to look after Chloé. In the meantime, the apartment deteriorates and the group of friends falls apart.
