As a kid going to the zoo I remember my mom always telling me not to get too close to the Llamas, as they spit or barf on you if they get the chance. Although bummed out by wanting to get real close to the furry weird ones I listened obediently as the prospect of being covered in Llama saliva didn’t appeal to me as much. Now in Washington there is a different type of Llama that is being bred to get real close to the elderly and not spit. The old folks don’t get out too much so it’s great they can cuddle up with a Llama every now and then. Colors Magazine created this endearing video last year about the intimacy between the Llamas and the elderly.
