Cindy Sherman

This week a new exhibition on the early works of Cindy Sherman opened at The Gucci Museo in Florence, Italy. The exhibition specifically focuses on the formative works of Sherman in the mid seventies consisting of three bodies of work; a short film Dollhouse and two photographic series, Murder Mystery People and Bus Drivers. The work comes from her final years at Buffalo University and the year after her graduation. The selection is owned by Francois Pinault of PPR (the Gucci Group’s umbrella brand), who is known for being an avid art collector and will run until the 9th of June.
