Pssst

Pssst is a new exhibition that recently opened at Frankfurt’s Museum für Moderne Kunst. The exhibition is surprisingly and for a change straightforwardly for kids, an audience that is probably one of the most difficult to attract – as curators bend their heads trying to tap in again on what children really want to see. They are in fact the new generation that will keep the art going. It seems that Pssst is quite successfully at it, presenting 17 artists in total (8 local and 9 from the UK) showcasing specially created works on the very exciting topic of ‘secrets’. And who doesn’t like a ‘secret’? To keep, the hold, to tell, to hide – this naughty trade creates a universal excitement for the young and obviously also the old. In the exhibition it comes in the shape of flowers that dance on the sense of movement, huge murals with tubes you can walk through and a confession booth that asks the kids to write their naughtiness on a piece of paper to eventually be spit out of a monsters roar. The exhibition runs until the 27th of January, so if you have any secrets to get out you better go to Frankfurt.
