Great series by conceptual photographer Nicolai Howalt. Almost an esthetic abstraction of bent metal, yet still reminding the onlooker of collision and the trauma that comes with destruction. According to Howalt this is exactly what characterizes our mental state regarding accidents: “the duality we feel in relation to accidents or catastrophes when experienced from a distance – as spectators.”
