Foodies worldwide are rather excited because this Sunday… it’s Restaurant Day! This means pop-up restaurants all over town in different cities. And for the first time Amsterdam is among those cities!

Several groups of Amsterdam-based enthousiasts already applied and their pop-up restaurants are listed below. Are you in the mood for cooking and still want to participate yourself, selling amazing food, cakes, cocktails or whatever from your balcony, porch, front yard, back yard, car, or elsewhere? ATMA: Food for thought
In the old VOC neighbourhood of Amsterdam four challengers of Atma will provide you with a wonderful four-course dinner in summer style. We think it’s important for you to enjoy it and decide how much you would like to pay. All profits go to foundation Atma (www.atmachallenge.org).

Banana BBQ Bar
Come and treat your belly to some lovely meat Pincho’s that are wrapped in Banana leafs and served on a Do It Yourself BBQ. Also, we have a Mobile Bar with Banana Beers (also regular beers) and Aqua de Valencia (cocktail). When you arrive you understand that all the choices you’ve made were the right ones. For you ended up here at the Bananaleaf Pincho’s BBQ Bar.

Cakes & Cocktails
Have a cake! Or a cocktail! Or both! It might seem an odd combination but really it’s quite brilliant when you think about it. Ever had a party without one or the other? Well then! Come by our pop-up bar for take-away to the Vondelpark, on your boat, your balcony or for a chat standing at our ‘bar’. Come around for teatime and stay for an appertizer, or for dessert and a great start of your night on the town!

Inspirated by Yotam Ottolenghi a few different salads and other fingerfood. If the wetter is good we’ll have a table at the street. Place for 30 people (not all at once ;-) Food and hospitality are one!

Sweet & Salty Pincho’s
Sweet & Salty Pincho’s serves a selection of savoury snacks and sweet munchies to everyone on a boat, bike or picnic blanket. Terrace & Take away. Food is served on a skewer and you pay per stick, like the Spanish tradition. When you see pop up appetizers along the canals… you’ll know you’re close to Sweet & Salty Pincho’s.
