Written by Niem Tewarie

Multiply denim and vintage with custom made and Mister Ed is what you get. Working for Levi’s Netherlands for 20 years now, Dave Edwards decided a couple of years ago to start his own label. He started customizing his own denim clothes and soon discovered a lot of people where interested in buying them. Thus Mister Ed was born.

Dave Edwards is mostly inspired by American workwear through the years, but also by contemporary Japanese brands and blogs. He tells us: “In Japan people really want to distinguish themselves and they do so by customizing their clothes. This phenomenon of always searching for ways to be unique inspires me.”

The Mister Ed collection now consists of bowties made of denim combined with other fabrics which are available at selected stores. Besides this, he customizes clothes on demand. Dave Edwards has his own set of regular customers consisting of private customers as well as companies.

The aspirations for the brand: “This is my passion and what I love to do. I am now exploring opportunities in Japan, where they love items originated from Europe. to sell my items. But if another opportunity comes along I won’t hesistate to grab it.”

The Mister Ed bowties are available at Local Heroz in Rotterdam Netherlands.
