Josh Tillman aka Father John Misty, who has been recording/releasing solo albums since 2003 and who recently left Seattle’s Fleet Foxes after playing drums from 2008-2011, releases what seems to be the first single from his upcoming solo album Fear Fun. It features the OH so insanely cool Aubrey Plaza and – one of my favourite bloggers at the moment – Alexi Wasser from IMBOYCRAZY.COM. Directed by Noel Paul, “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings” looks to me like an over-exaggerated fantasy of what a day in Aubrey Plaza’s life might look and feel like; it’s not just escapism but pure humor, sex and mischief. Fear Fun is available May 1, 2012 from Sub Pop and Bella Union, in the US and UK/EU respectively.
