Done in Sixty Seconds 2012

Jameson is hosting a film competition again this year: the idea is to make a film of a film in 60 seconds. This means you have to remake a film, not create something entirely new. It can only last 60 seconds. Once it’s done, upload the film and generate votes!

The best Dutch Done in 60 Seconds entry will win the exclusive trip to London for the Done in 60 Seconds Global Final on March 23rd to compete against nominees from all over the world. An international judging panel will choose the 5 Done in 60 Seconds Nominees who will then attend the Jameson Empire Awards on Sunday March 25th 2012. The winner will receive a priceless and rare opportunity to spend time with an established film-maker to pick their brain on all things film! (More details to be released closer to the Awards!) The competition rules are:

The competition rules are:

DO:

– Remake a movie of your choice – no originality please!
– Use your friends and family who are over the age of 18 (make sure your cast have agreed to perform and are aware the video will be placed online)
– Feel free to ‘adapt’ the film to fit the format (you don’t have to be completely faithful, humour goes a long way)
– Make your film in English or use English subtitles (it makes it easier for the International Judges to understand what they are watching!
– Download and add to the beginning of your film, the Done in Sixty Seconds logo that is located here.  Please note that the logo does not form part of the 60 seconds, it will be in addition to this
– We accept the above video formats up to 100mb in size

DON’T:

– Submit more than one entry. Only one entry per email address will be accepted.
– Go over one minute in length, you’ll be disqualified
– Slander anyone (we’re averse to court cases)
– Do pornography or nudity of any kind (we are trying to run a decent competition here
– Use any footage that is not your own (no ‘mashing’ allowed)
– Infringe any copyright laws (ie use images, footage, pictures, etc that aren’t your own material). Original music can only be used if it’s for no more than 30 seconds in it’s entirety.
