This weekend Brakke Grond in Amsterdam presents Rietveld Uncut; an event, where Rietveld Academy students present an interactive performance installation on the relationship between man and machine. Creatively lead by Flemish artist Kris Verdonck Rietveld Uncut will show a cross section of the most famous art academy of Amsterdam. Themed ‘The Living Object,’ Rietveld Uncut explores the relationship between man and object and the influence of the material on the artist. How do the (im)possibilities of the medium lead to new dimensions? What does this say about the inspiration of the artist? At Rietveld Uncut the artists of tomorrow will present experimental projects that seek interaction with the audience.
