Along with the strong economy of China, Shanghai fashion week is finally stepping up its’ game this fall: British legendary fashion designer Vivienne Westwood is the opening show during Shanghai Fashion week.

Instead of showing her glorious collection in the tent with the other designers (shows begin 20th Oct till 25th Oct), Westwood is throwing a private fashion show during the VIP opening party, where she features beloved designs from her archives. The flame-haired dame herself is expected to attend. This is a big step for the Shanghai Fashion Week, which has struggled for about a decade to get fashion heavy-hitters to attend.

For Vivienne Westwood -famous for bringing punk elements to her fashion line (bondage, tartan, spiked dog collars and safety pins)- this will be the first fashion show outside Europe.
