Between Shao Yen’s A/W 2010 collection -her Central Saint Martin’s debut- and her latest S/S12 show a lot has changed. Having created a window for Selfridges’ Bright Young Things display earlier this year -showing molded body modification constructions which wowed the crowds- she has created a rival collection.

Her S/S12 show consists of 14 looks for strong females and had a humorous, artistic and sexy feel to it. Her creations -mainly in black- were constructed in an innovative way displaying sections of the body not normally seen in a more commercial collection.

Central Saint Martins is still in her and her garments, and seems to be allowing her to see past fashion; sculpt the body using some of the most amazing techniques.
