Sens Unique is a new perfume haven located in the heart of Le Marais that aims to revive the old Parisian tradition of intimate perfumeries and advocates a more personal approach to dispensing the secret art of scents as opposed to the recent chain-store tendency of “self-service”.

The boutique carries a whirlwind selection of niche brands; many among which SENS UNIQUE is the exclusive distributor in Paris. This includes: Parfumerie Générale, Huitième Art, Phaedon, Skincare Bakel, État Libre d’Orange, Kilian, Laboratorio Olfattivo, Honoré des Prés, Poiray, Odin, Susan Tabak.

The latest additions include Attache-Moi by ICONOfly as well as the entire range of Von Eusersdorff’s Eau de Parfums.

The staff is extremely well trained and incredibly friendly; always willing to share insider hints regarding the perfumes’ specifics, historical context and inspirational background. Service is not only personal but literally tailor-made to each individual; making a point in finding the right fragrance for the right skin type and taking into account equations such as clients mood, sophisticated or casual, the fragrance usage, daily or occasional, and most importantly the desired effect: a dash of elegance, an elusive flair of seduction, a wave of mystery, or a hint of sensuality. Each potion-like fragrance is carefully selected in order to sublimate the essence of the wearer but also to subjugate and cast your magic spell all around you.

SENS UNIQUE interior design is a clash between “baroque” and “modern” style, which combined with the unique product line up is quite uncanny for the stereotypical French taste; yet judging by the fast growing clientele and the expending buzz it seems to have hit the score among the smarter set of aficionados.

Store owners, Elena and Renata have been handling worldwide perfume distribution since over a decade. One of them lives in Paris, the other in Moscow. Both are true perfume lovers and they are personal friends with most of the labels they sell.

“For us the human factor is essential. Our selection of brands does not only go through the fragrance judgment. It is important for us to ‘feel’ the person behind it and to have good chemistry with that individual. Same for our team members, whom we consider as family.”
