The British luxury fashion house Burberry presented its S/S12 collection yesterday in London. Burberry is most famous for its iconic trench coat, which was invented by founder Thomas Burberry. Its distinctive tartan pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks. It is in fact so iconic that Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales granted the company Royal Warrants, which means that they are an official supplier of the royal family.

But Burberry’s iconicity doesn’t stop with the royals. For the presentation of their S/S12 womenswear collection Burberry teamed up with Twitter to create the first ever ‘tweetwalk’ show. Christopher Bailey was tweeting live backstage, sharing every look before it hit the runway.
