During the worldwide event series ‘smart urban stage‘ smart asked pioneers from eleven cities to question the urban status-quo for a better future. As a result they came up with extraordinary visions, ideas and solutions for sustainable lifestyles, modern social systems and forward-looking developments in the fields of architecture, design and technology.

Blend got invited to Frankfurt to cover the opening event and the ‘smart future minds award‘ next week.

After eleven stops in major European cities, the grand finale of the ‘smart urban stage’ will take place next week in Frankfurt. During the eleven previous smart urban stages which featured 110 projects, eleven outstandingly visionary and groundbreaking projects were picked to win the ‘smart future minds award’. These winner projects are now nominated for the final award that will be given away during the opening event on the ‘smart urban stage’ Frankfurt.

The eleven winning projects that are nominated for the ‘smart future minds award’ range from renewable energy projects, to urban farming, transparent food supply, autonomous cars, and reestablishing public and abandoned spaces. This interesting mix of divers ideas on urban development and sustainability will be exhibited from September 15 to September 25 in Frankfurt.
