EKKO, a Dutch venue based in Utrecht, exists 25 years in October this year and the organization of EKKO came up with an inventive way to celebrate their anniversary. In collaboration with Voordekunst – an online platform to support art projects – and independent record label Excelsior Recordings EKKO releases a vinyl record containing the best songs of the artists that performed at the venue. It promises to be a must-have collection since many great names performed at EKKO right before they generated big success in the Netherlands, for example Franz Ferdinand, Death Cab for Cutie and The Wombats.

At the end the EKKO collection will be a completely crowd funded and crowd sourced initiative and it will be presented during the Night of Vinyl at EKKO in October.
