Crime Scene and Contrasts

Currently Plaats Delict (Crime Scene) is working towards an experimental exhibition that will take place at the Paraplufabriek in Nijmegen. Seven talented Dutch and American artists are the subjects of an experiment about contrasts and contradictions. All together they are creating individual work, in one space at the same time.
The initiators Niek Audenaerd, Daniela Schwabe and Janita De Vries expect the artists will be influenced by the space and each other while working on this project. Exchanging materials, work methods and maybe more the actual exhibition will be a live and detailed report of the experiment. The American and Dutch artists are deliberately divided in two groups by nationality with a border in the middle of the room. During the two weeks that the artists are working they are free to cross or differentiate this borderline.
The participating artists are Samuel T. Adams (USA),Vincent Dams (NL), Ben Grasso (USA), Langdon Graves (USA), Henny Overbeek (NL) and V & B (Alex Jacobs and Ellemieke Schoenmaker, NL). The opening of the exhibition is set on June 3 and it will run until June 12 at the Paraplufabriek.
