Forgotten Future

Forgotten Future is a menswear fashion label founded in 2009 by Richard Dawson. Soon after the launch of Forgotten Future the first F/W 2010 collection came out and immediately received great reviews and got picked up by web shop Oki-ni. Richard Dawson graduated from Central Saint Martins College in London, with a degree in menswear fashion. Before he founded Forgotten Future he worked as a textile and menswear designer in the fashion industry for several companies.
Recently Forgotten Future showed its F/W 2011 collection called Pony Youth at Tranoi Homme in Paris. The collection is inspired by photographer Perry Ogden and his series Pony Kids. Pony Kids is about poor Irish teenagers in the nineties, showing off their horses on monthly held horse fairs in Dublin. The collection exists of oversized silhouettes that seem a bit too short, shirts that look like hand me downs of elderly brothers and jockey inspired jackets. Forgotten Future Pony Youth will be available at Asos and Oki-ni.
