Extraordinary shoe label United Nude collaborated with Spanish performance artist Alicia Framis, who is currently working on her project Moon Life. In this project space travel and living in space are central themes. Alicia Framis asked a couple of artists, architects and designers to think about these themes as well and to create concepts for living in space. United Nude was asked to design a shoe that was suitable for outer space.

The result is a shoe you can assemble yourself. However the design may look very complicated, the shoe is build in less than ten minutes for each shoe. The base of the shoe exists of flat carbon fiber pieces, molded foot-bed pieces and three-dimensional sole pieces. The upper side of the shoe is a lace with two leather pieces. Sounds complicated? Check them out yourself. Soon there will be a final version of the space shoe that will be available in selected museum gift shops, the website Moon Life and at the United Nude website.
