Amsterdam goes Art

Art in Amsterdam

Starting today this week Amsterdam is all about art. Art Amsterdam, Affordable Art Fair, Artspot Amsterdam and Amsterdam Art/Book Fair are collaborating to make Art in Amsterdam; celebrating contemporary art in the capital city of the Netherlands.

Art Amsterdam starts today and goes on until May 15. With 133 international galleries exhibiting this is the biggest art fair in the Netherlands. They are hosting young talents and the most esteemed artists. Find more information about the entrance prices, exhibitions and such on Art Amsterdam.

The Affordable Art Fair is a convention that presents all kind of contemporary art ranging from €100,- to €5000,-. This year over 50 international galleries participate in making art accessible for everyone who’s interested. Visit Affordable Art Fair for details.

Artspot Amsterdam witnesses his first edition. This fair focuses on the higher scale in contemporary art, with exhibiting galleries such as Artline, Lieve Hemel, Nine, Noordeinde, PartOfArt, Rademakers and Roos van Tudor amongst others. The first edition of Amsterdam Art/Book Fair is held on May 14 and 15. The fair presents a high-end international selection of art publications. Printed matter and digital media edited by independent publishers, artists, magazines, institutions, art schools and graphic design studios are featured in this first edition. And last but not least online gallery Prints & The Revolution is exhibiting from May 12 until May 22 at Rokin. Artists participating in this exhibition are Silas, Femke Hiemstra, Hugo Kaagman and Raymond Lemstra amongst others.
