Ray Sohn is a Brooklyn-based illustrator and the cartoonist of True Chubbo, along with his wife. He is currently exhibiting his new series of work Pyramid Lake at Wonder Fair gallery in Lawrence, Kansas. This exhibition contains about 40 pieces of the eighty works he made over the past year and a half. Pyramid Lake is his first solo exhibition.

With an excellent combination of ink drawing, painting and collage work Pyramid Lake is a serie that literally draws you into the illustration, you keep discovering new things every time you look at it. It’s like the illustrations tell you secrets about life and themselves. Ray Sohn says: ‘Pyramid Lake is a conversation with those who speak and understand the language of art from now and as far into future as the work can possibly survive.’

Ray Sohn graduated at the school of visual arts in New York and has a bachelor degree in fine arts. The exhibition runs until June 19 and the book accompanying the exhibition is available at his website.
