BLEND Magazine #05 The Modern Minimalist is available on iPAD now. We teamed up with Other Edition, a developer of and platform for iPad, iPhone and digital magazine experiences, such as Interview Magazine and V Magazine. And now BLEND Magazine!

Other Edition – an initiative of the people behind Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine – works with publishers and titles in over 20 countries. They offer a digital selection of exclusive, high quality fashion and lifestyle magazines in one app. Editor in chief of BLEND Magazine Perre Van Den Brink explains: ‘You can see Other Edition as a modern, digital newspaper stand, where you can find BLEND Magazine next to the other international magazines. I think it’s great that Other Edition provides an app in which the buyer can choose out of a range of digital magazines.’
The realization of the iPad app gives BLEND a lot of extra opportunities. Van Den Brink: ‘We can now explore the possibilities of a magazine in iPad format. The digital edition of BLEND gives us the opportunity to integrate video content into the magazine for instance, something we’re really happy with. We’re actually taking all the possibilities of the iPad into account when we’re contemplating about the content of the paper magazine. We already did that with our latest issue The Modern Minimalist. The interview we did with Emilio Gomariz is a great example. Gomariz’ work is mostly animated, which you see in the app while reading the interview. We also produced a photo shoot and video in one, together with Sebastian Professional. It looks great both on paper and video. Adding interactive content is not only fun for iPad owners though; all extra content is available online as well.’
