Dutch artist SIT recently released his new series Noir. These wonderful and at the same time haunting acrylic works examine the troubled relation between the animal kingdom and mankind, like most of his paintings do. This time he focuses on the magnificent beauty of the beast and the way it is used to serve the vanity that is intricate to humanity. Soft feminine curves and luxurious fur and feathers are combined with pale animal skulls and raw animal behavior.

His work will be on display at GO Gallery in Amsterdam from March 19 until May 1. SIT debuts with the same series in the States, at L.A. based C.A.V.E. Gallery from April 8 until May 7.
