Photographer Raphaël Dallaporta wins Foam Paul Huf Award 2011

Wednesday evening the 2nd of March Raphaël Dallaporta (1980) was chosen as the winner of the Foam Paul Huf Award 2011 by an international jury. Along with a cash prize of €20.000,- Dallaporta will have an exhibition in Foam from 9th September to 26th October 2011.

Chairman of the jury Francois Hébel noted: ‘His true political approach of society perversion, combined with a very creative and rigorous conceptual approach, free from influences, make him a distinctive photographer of the next generation.’

Foam has a special relationship with Dutch photographer Paul Huf (1924-2002). Huf was known for his innovative approach to photography and was personally involved in the founding of Foam in 2001. The Foam Paul Huf award attracts portfolios from all over the world.  Out of 81 nominees this year, 25 were from Europe, 7 from Asia, 17 from North America, 3 from South America, 15 from Africa and 14 from the Middle East.
