Alexander McQueen \ Savage Beauty

This summer, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will open its doors to an exhibition about the late Alexander McQueen. The exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute, is called Savage Beauty and celebrates McQueen’s extraordinary contributions to fashion.
The show will feature pieces from his postgraduate collection of 1992 to looks from his final runway show, which took place after his death in February of last year. About one hundred pieces will be on display, including signature pieces McQueen has created over the years. Amongst these designs are the legendary bumster trouser and the kimono jacket. Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty will be on display from May 4 until July 31.
