Happy Camper Music

Dutch musician Job Roggeveen (of El Pino & The Volunteers) came up with the idea of composing an album full of warm, happy, indie pop songs. To make the project a little more endearing he asked eleven befriended musicians if they would want to join him in this musical project. Amongst them are much-anticipated musical talents such as Tim Knol, Ricky Koole and Janne Schra.
The project is called Happy Camper and was presented during a spectacular show at last month’s festival Eurosonic/Noorderslag. Because of the unusual number of singers, the bandmembers couldn’t decide on a lead singer. This is why they invented Manfred, a cute, hairy animated yeti, who serves as Happy Camper’s frontman. Check out their first video for a song called Born With A Bothered Mind below, created by animation-studio Job, Joris & Marieke.
