AIFW – Jan Taminiau
Yesterday we attended the opening of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. Dutch designer Jan Taminiau had the honor to open the fashion week with two shows, one demi-couture and one couture, of which the latter one was, by far, the most beautiful. Taminiau premiered his couture show in Paris two days ago, where the collection called Irradiance already was a big hit. The chickenfeet-shaped shoes were highly interesting to say the least.

Unfortunately they forced the models to walk in such a slow pace the show took a bit too long. Looking back, the shoe-statement would have been equally strong if Taminiau had combined them with only a couple of outfits. But, after all, it’s about the clothes. The stunning, sequined dresses, maybe inspired by Alexander McQueen’s last show, were absolutely mind-blowing. See more looks after the jump.
