Spying on Kate Moss

Dutch photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin did a shoot for Balmain’s Fall/Winter 2010 campaign starring supermodel Kate Moss. During the shoot they secretly filmed Moss’s performance on the set. Afterwards, Van Lamsweerde and Matadin created a film that plays with the viewer’s perception of reality.

This surrealistic piece of art is called Everglade, after the title of its Anthony and The Johnsons soundtrack. Artist Jo Ratcliffe created bizarre but beautiful layers of animated illustrations on top of the original material, which gives the film an intriguing twist.
