Check out the work of Dutch photographer Krista van der Niet (1978). She graduated from the photography department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2002. She depicts persons and daily objects in a whole different way, by setting them up in strange sculptures and installations. Despite the weird settings and combinations, each image has a sense of tranquility to it. Her modern still lives force the viewer to look twice. We selected a few of our favorites.
