There are things in life that are safe and easy, allowing you to get settled in your comfort zone. Then there are things that are nowhere near your comfort zone. Are you willing to leave the comfort zone behind and take a risk?

BLEND\BUREAUX collaborated with videographer Niels van den Top to create an authentic campaign for Warsteiner Benelux, titled DO IT RIGHT. We are proud to present a series of video portraits featuring six different people in their respective environments, all living life on their own terms. Giving center stage to each person’s journey, their intimate conversations and private thoughts paint a picture filled with obstacles, small victories and great successes. Unfazed by the fear of the unknown, these people took the leap and chased after their dreams.

All featured characters are creatives with a link to the Netherlands, who are living the DO IT RIGHT mentality. The stories portray surfer Yannick de Jager, entrepreneur Rens van Mackelenbergh, photographer Joost Vandebrug, artist Pieter Ceizer, fashion designer Mick Keus and musician Dirkjan de Wit.

Yannick de Jager

The North Sea has played a prominent role in Yannick’s life. The decision to favour a surfboard over a classical education did not come easily. But his love for surfing outweighed everything else, making it the right choice for him.

Rens van Mackelenbergh

Rens woke up one morning and knew his purpose in life – to build a second living room, open to every- and anyone, brimming with hospitality and great food. How good does that sound? Together with his best friend George he decided to simply make it happen, no matter what.

Joost Vandebrug

Keeping up with the pulsing fashion industry does not leave a lot of time to reflect on what really matters in life. That is why photographer and filmmaker Joost van de Brug chose to document real life next to his work for the fashion industry, thus adding a layer of depth and meaning to his own life. We have had the pleasure of working together with him for BLEND Magazine.

Pieter Ceizer

Would you move into a town, all alone, with nobody waiting for you? Artist Pieter Ceizer did exactly that. Unfazed by the fear of the unknown, he took the courageous step to follow his dream and relocated to Paris. Next to his personal success, Ceizer has successfully collaborated with Warsteiner before, like the wallvertising project.

Mick Keus

For Mick Keus it has always been all or nothing, “maybe” does not exist in his vocabulary. Thus, he decided to fully commit to his love of used denim. Upcycling vintage Levi’s 501 in his atelier in Amsterdam, he is following his passion.

Dirkjan de Wit

Carving your personal path in life does not come easily. It’s a process lead by trial and error. Dirkjan knew he had to make a brazen decision and leave his conservative job at a multinational corporation behind in order to pursue a career as a rockstar-guitarist for Orange Outlaw.

It’s not about conquering the world in one night; it’s about realizing your life’s script lies solely in your own hands. It’s about living life on your own terms. If you won’t, then who will? Be devoted, be passionate and fight for something, no matter if you fall down or succeed, do it right.
