Every year, IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam) presents the best international documentaries selected on the basis of a clear criteria. In other words, documentaries that are stylistically interesting or innovative, socially relevant and communicative. In it IDFA DocLab takes place, showcasing interactive webdocs and other new forms of digital storytelling that expand the documentary genre beyond linear filmmaking, developing a unique platform for documentary innovation and an international competition program for digital documentary storytelling. IDFA DocLab also hosts a competition for Digital Storytelling.

This year, IDFA will take place from the 20.11.13 till the 01.12.2013. But we just got the explosive good new, that “The Director” , from Christina Voros and  James Franco (second collaboration after Kink), will be screened. The Director faces creative director Frida Giannini in an authoritative look at the past, present and future of The House of Gucci, taking advantage of rare behind-the scenes access. Impressive combination that makes from this project a 2013’s must see.

Other revealed screens are Ai Weiwei- The Fake Case from Andrea Johnsen and Cutie and the Boxer from Zachary Heinzerling.
