French singer SoKo goes back to VHS for the video of her new song ‘Monster Love’ in which she does a duet with Ariel Pink (’s Haunted Graffiti). She has recently released her debut album ‘I Thought I Was an Alien’ in the U.S., although it’s been out for over a year in Europe.

The video for ‘Monster Love’ was directed by SoKo herself and shot in the Silverlake neighborhood of L.A.. It features the story of a lonely monster trying to win the affection of a mermaid, but eventually ending up with another monster – played by SoKo.

SoKo and Pink’s collaboration, also titled ‘Monster Love’, opens the music video, while her track ‘I Just Want to Make It New With You’ is in it as well, written about her friendship-come-romance with Pink. Both tracks are on ‘I Thought I Was an Alien’.
