Last Saturday, Lente Kabinet Festival took place in recreation area Het Twiske just above Amsterdam. The festival was filled with electronic music, art and culture. The main focus was music of course, with a line-up consisting of a combination of funk, soul, experimental, disco, house, dubstep, and techno. Headliners for the 2013 edition were post-rock and electronic legend Four Tet, deep house DJ Tom Trago (live), Soul Clap, and Bicep. The Eddy The Eagle x Red Light Radio area also featured concerts by rock bands such as Breaking Levees and The Local Spastics, next to a collection of art installations and performances.
Lente Kabinet came into existence a year ago, after being an indoor festival known as Het Kabinet which took place in the Amsterdam student cinema Studio K. The first outdoor Spring edition, called Lente Kabinet, was at Noorderpark in 2012. This year’s edition moved to a bigger venue to house more DJs, stages and visitors.
For this edition, Lente Kabinet invited Warsteiner to deliver the beer, complete with custom-made bars and well-dressed bar tenders in white shirts and black ties. Dekmantel, the organisers behind Lente Kabinet, will also have beer by Warsteiner during their Dekmantel Festival in August.
