Rietveld Fashion Show

650-RIETVELD12_FINALE_2127

Gerrit Rietveld Academie organizes its yearly fashion show on 14th June in Paradiso in Amsterdam. Niels Klavers, head of the fashion department, proudly presents the work of six graduate students and a selection of first and second year students. The 2013 Fashion Show is a collaboration of the fashion department with the departments of architectural design and graphic design, as four of their students will create the set for the show.

The fashion department of Rietveld Academie educates its students to conceive radical proposals about aesthetics, ethics and social matters. Students are encouraged to take firm position artistically, while staying both autonomous and in dialogue with actuality. Fashion needs innovators with exciting insights and wild ideas and that’s why on 14th June, Gerrit Rietveld Academie presents the following set of innovators: Charlotte Beeck, Tümay Faydaci, Alla Kuzmyk, Duran Lantink, Verena Michel, and Niki Milioni.

Their graduation pieces will be exhibited on 3-7 July, during the exhibition of work by 200 graduate students of fine arts and design.

Tickets for the show on 14th June cost €12,50 and are available at paradiso.nl from 4th May onwards.
