LACOSTE L!VE
Now we all know that when things are ‘heritage’ or ‘sartorial’ it embodies a certain type of quality in fashion. A nostalgic type of quality that harks back to the days when things were not mass-produced but made with love and care. Still, back in those days brands were as much about innovation as brands are now, trying to improve on what there was lacking. You could say a more futuristic approach rather than a nostalgic one. This was pretty much the same thing with Rene Lacoste, who created the brand Lacoste to improve and innovative the sporting gear. Inventing the modern L.12.12 polo shirt, as well as tennis racquets, golf clubs and bags, and the world’s first tennis ball machine. Despite its forward thinking heritage, throughout the years Lacoste has more so become a poster child of retro fashion rather than innovation. Lacoste Lab for Lacoste L!ve was created to bring back the innovation the brand once stood for in the creation of a special collection that places Lacoste back on the map for innovation. Check out the 2013 collection of pretty awesome sporting gear.
