As we meander about the highs and lows of the past year while its finally coming to an end, I couldn’t help to think about that specific moment in fashion you had to rub your eyes for and watch in disbelief. For spring/summer 2013 a signature giant white purse attached between what seemed to look like a black hula-hoop strutted down the catwalk with model. Karl Lagerfeld elaborated further on the design “ (The bag is) for the beach! You need space for the beach towel. Then you can put it into the sand and hang things on it.” I think the man is a genius.
