2013 will mark the 10 years anniversary between sports brand Adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. At the time it might have been an odd combination, fusing the technology of Adidas and the design aesthetic of Yamato under the moniker Y-3. The brand however sustained itself in presenting consistent collections throughout and can be considered a front-runner in the collaborations between sports brands and independent fashion designers.

In honor of the 10 year anniversary Y-3 teamed up with photographer and director Pierre Debusschere for their Spring/Summer 2013 campaign. Debusschere also known for his long time collaboration with Raf Simons, captured the collection as a celebration of motion, transformation and East meets West – delivering visuals that emphasize energy and the bold graphic language of Y-3.
