Capricious Water

Cap_cover

Last week the 13th issue of contemporary photography magazine Capricious themed ‘Water’ was launched during Art Basel in Miami. For almost 10 years Capricious magazine has been the platform for young emerging photography, giving face to a generation of photographers from all over the world that generally will not find a place within the commercial saturated industry of fashion magazines. This new issue of Capricious introduces a new shift in its mission. While still introducing prolific new artists, the themes of the magazine are set up to address social and environmental issues that are currently affecting society. Quite a challenging but beautiful mission to place on the agenda through contemporary art. The 13th issue counts over 160 pages encompassing a gracious flow of images depicting the natural beauty of water, its relation to people and the horrific disastrous state it is in. Contributions by artists like Mischa De Ridder, Ryan McGinley, Adi Lavy, Bernd & Hilla Becher, Philip Gaisser, Taiyo Onorato and Nico Krebs, David Benjamin Sherry, Agnes Thor, Kurt Arrigo, Yann Gross, Sara Cwynar, Jeanie Choi, and many more.

Capricious Magazine is a submission based magazine so please check out the website in a few weeks for the submission deadline of the up and coming 14th issue.
