Only 19 years old, but profoundly talented is the Danish female photographer Maja Malou Lyse. A young artist to keep an eye on! She was born in Denmark and grew up in Belgium and Norway. Currently she is based in her birth town Aarhus, where her latest solo exhibition can be visited in Lunchmoney Gallery.

Maja Malou Lyse’s work consists mainly of self-portraits. She is driven by her own personal emotions. She rarely portraits others and if she does, they must be very close to her. Therefore her muse is her own self. In a dreamy state of mind and soft colours or grey tones she pictures herself in timeless, romantic settings.

Her photographs are sophisticated, fashionable, aestetic and mysterious. Deep secrets she shares with you as a viewer, but you will never find out what it is you are looking at.
