These digital collages are Sinead Leonard’s amazing army of female warriors. Yet in these pictures it is nature that prevails as Leonard puts it herself: “Inspired by the strength of femininity in the world and the power of Mother Nature, these are my army of female warriors. These women have the integrity and power to create and control the world, married with the grace and compassion not to destroy it in the process.” Flowers ornate the characters while lighting up and giving energy to these black and white pictures in a Gustav Klimt-meets-the-digital-era way. They are both poetic and powerful at the same time.
