Ad hijacking

If you have been in Berlin lately, you might have noticed these guerrilla poster ‘reworks’ in the subway and on the street. They are done by an artist who calls himself Vermibus (Latin for worms). He calls his reworks Vita Propria (My Life) – ‘A critic of aesthetic value of the consumer society’.

Although the ad reworks appear to be painted over, they are actually made usign solvent, brushing off the model’s faces that are depersonalized as they are universalized by the brand campaigns.
