‘Liefste’ (dearest, ed.) tells the story of the poetic beachcomber. The grayest days are the favorite days of this dreamer. On these days he will wander around the beach looking for treasures given by the sea. Back home he will give these treasures a special place in his shed. He will put them in his self made box cabinets, lay them on his hanging shelves and paste them on his door. He writes about his hidden desires in his dark cabin.
