You might have heard of MoMA’s Print Out, the exhibition regarding the last twenty years of print magazines. But there are more exciting things happening over here as well! Next month FACING PAGES, a festival about independent magazines, is bringing hundreds of magazines to Holland.

Facing Pages is the biggest event in Europe regarding independent magazines. National and international leading publishers and aficionados are brought together for an exhibition and lectures, by for example Will Hudson (one of the people behind one of our fav mags, It’s Nice That).

Facing Pages laat zien hoe het onafhankelijke magazine is uitgegroeid tot een nieuw fenomeen in onze beeldcultuur, en waarom deze magazines in het huidige internettijdperk als voorlopers gezien kunnen worden.
