Jil Sander F/W 2012
Head-to-toe leather, heavy wool coats and close-fitting suits: Raf Simons definately made a bold statement for Jil Sander F/W 2012. The show was set in an underground parking garage; the runway covered in black rubber and the smell of cars was in the air. For the collection Simons took the male archetypes as businessman, father, and office nerd and pushed the envelope on their components of their looks. Leather looks were complemented by the amazing leather lunch bags and gloves. Well-tailored silhouettes varied from pencil slim close fitting suits to voluminous coats and parkas. Prints of whales and dinosaurs scattered among the looks added some humour.
