The new footwear for Iris van Herpen’s show was created in collaboration with United Nude again. Not a stranger to the technique, Van Herpen used computer aided 3D printing to create the shoes. They were then laminated with carbon fiber for strength. Because this is a very intensive and time-consuming process, only four catwalk pairs were created. Therefore it is unlikely these beauties will go into production, as the previous collaborations did. The next Iris van Herpen show will be the haute couture show in Paris the 23rd of January.
