Drop lamp by At.elier

Smart and simple, this lamp’s design takes the classic lamp shade to modernity. As gravity pulls the three layers of leather into elegant pleats, flowing forms of shadow and light will appear. Typical of Dutch design is the use of unconventional materials for every-day products, like the leather used for the Drop lamp. This way it almost seems to refer to the Flex Lamp, Sam Hecht designed for Droog, whose shape is just like any ordinary kitchen lamp, but is made of flexible silicone.

The unique and hand-made Drop lamp is available at HYM Concept Store, one of the cool new stores on the second floor of the Magna Plaza, where more of these kinds of fascinating designs are sold.
